Investing in Yourself Is Key To Success

To achieve success in your business you must always invest in your training. This comes in the form of reading books, listening to podcasts, and attending events.

My friend and top entrepreneur Ray Higdon did a training last week where he breaks down how to monetize every conversation you have. Initially this was supposed to be a one time live event only. However, over 7,500 people attended the training causing the webinar platform to break down.

Ray decided to make this training available until this Friday April 29th. To get more leads, sales, and explode your business click here.

My Top 5 Social Media Marketing Books

Book #1: How to Win Friends and Influence People – Dale Carnegie

social media marketing booksAlthough this book was written in 1936, it's one of the most important social media marketing books you'll ever read. Why?

Many people forget that the purpose of social media is to talk to people. Dale Carnegie gives very practical strategies on the art of conversation and building rapport.

If you know how to genuinely connect with people you'll grow a buyer's audience of loyal reps and customers. I read this book in 1997 and it changed my professional practice.

Before reading this book I struggled at creating with rapport with people. Since reading this book I am now able to establish rapport with people with pleasure and ease.

This book is available in paperback and digital format.

Book #2: Likeable Social Media – Dave Kerpen

social media marketing booksAfter reading How to Win Friends and Influence People I highly recommend that you read this book right afterwards. Dave shares with you how to get your followers to rave about you and your products.

Word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertising on social media. Each social media network has their own form of word of mouth promotion.

Dave walks you through how to get your followers to brag about you on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.

This is also available in paperback and digital formats.

Book #3: Jab Jab Jab Right Hook – Gary Vaynerchuk

This is one of THE MOST IMPORTANT social media marketing books you must have in your library. Gary is the King of social media. He built his entire empire using Twitter.

I love this book because Gary teaches one important thing about social media marketing. Creating a story around your content.

Gary has the pulse on the major social media networks and gives case studies of good and bad social media marketing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr.

This book is also available in paperback and digital format. Watch this short interview where Gary breaks down this book.

Book #4: Audience Marketing in The Age of Subscribers, Fans, and Followers – Jeffrey Rohrs

social media marketing booksYou have heard me say it over and over again that success on social media is developing an AUDIENCE versus followers.

Many businesses treat social media as an afterthought. That is, they just use it as an advertising medium to pitch their products and services.

In this book Jeffrey Rohrs gives you the truth why you must center your social media marketing around relationships versus sales pitches.

He gives examples of how to build relationships not only on social media but through email as well.

This book is available in paperback and digital format.

Book #5: Youtility: Why Smart Marketing is About Help Not Hype – Jay Baer

social media marketing booksJay Baer hits it out of the part with this book. What separates successful entrepreneurs from wannabes is how they approach their prospects.

The wannabees hype their products, services, and businesses. The successful entrepreneurs come from a place of SERVING their market.

The difference between HELPING and SELLING is two letters. Jay shows you the distinction between the two.

Jay also gives a very common sense approach strategy to inform your followers, which will turn them into raving, loyal customers.

This book is available in paperback and digital format.
