Book #1: How to Win Friends and Influence People – Dale Carnegie

Many people forget that the purpose of social media is to talk to people. Dale Carnegie gives very practical strategies on the art of conversation and building rapport.

If you know how to genuinely connect with people you'll grow a buyer's audience of loyal reps and customers. I read this book in 1997 and it changed my professional practice.

Before reading this book I struggled at creating with rapport with people. Since reading this book I am now able to establish rapport with people with pleasure and ease.

Book #2: Likeable Social Media – Dave Kerpen

Word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertising on social media. Each social media network has their own form of word of mouth promotion. 

Dave walks you through how to get your followers to brag about you on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.

Book #3: Jab Jab Jab Right Hook – Gary Vaynerchuk

This is one of THE MOST IMPORTANT social media marketing books you must have in your library. Gary is the King of social media. He built his entire empire using Twitter.

I love this book because Gary teaches one important thing about social media marketing. Creating a story around your content.

Gary has the pulse on the major social media networks and gives case studies of good and bad social media marketing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr.
