INSTAGRAM UPDATE 09/09/17
Over 6 million IG accounts were recently hacked. What those hackers were able to do was exploit a bug that opened up the details when user requested to reset their password.
The would intercept the email addresses and phone numbers after sending out false password reset requests. You can read about it more here.
Instagram is now telling people report any unusual activity through their reporting tools. You can access those tools by tapping the ‘…’ menu from your profile, selecting “Report a Problem” and then ‘Spam or Abuse’.’
If you are still not getting any response back from Instagram regarding your hacked account, I suggest that you try sending them a message on their Fan Page.
Make sure you include that you've followed the instructions on the Instagram Support Page.

Instagram has disabled the form from 06/22/17. Believe you me this is getting beyond frustrating. I am hearing more and more reports of hacked Instagram accounts.
I hope they come up with a better reporting procedure soon. My best advice to you is to keep contacting them and be persistent.

Instagram Account Update
Here is an update of where I am with my hacked Instagram account.
How to Report a Hacked Instagram Account
STEP #1: DO NOT PANIC. Take a few deep breaths and focus on the solution. Instagram does not have phone support. If you find a number that says Instagram support, DON'T CALL IT! There's some people out there who are saying they're Instagram support and will try to hack into your online banking accounts.
STEP #2: Go to the Instagram Support Center and select Privacy & Safety Center
STEP #3: Once you've selected Privacy & Safety you'll be taken to a menu where you'll select Report Something
STEP #4: Once you select Report Something select Impersonation Accounts
Step #5: Select What can I do if someone is impersonating me on Instagram. If someone has hacked your account and changed your email and password you don't have an Instagram account and click on the link to fill out the form (see the second red box in the image below)
Step #6: When you click on the link to fill out the form and it will open a new window. Make sure you select that someone is impersonating you. It's SUPER IMPORTANT to select “NO” that you don't have an account because it will open the form.
Make sure you give them the URL of your hacked Instagram account and the person's user name. Upload an image of the hacked account and have a screenshot of your Instagram profile before it was hacked.
Upload your Driver's Licence. Before you do, take a picture of your licence and make sure you block out your licence ID and address.
Once you're done filling out the form, expect an email from Instagram within 5-10 minutes. It will look similar to the image below. Provide them with the information in the email.
Doc's Prescription – How to Report a Hacked Instagram Account
Was this helpful? Here's my prescription to help prevent you from getting your account hacked in the future.
First, make sure you enable the 2 step authentication. When you enable this Instagram will send you a text message with a password verification code. This will alert you if someone is trying to break into your account.
Second, choose a password that is 8 words containing a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.
Third, at least once per month take screenshots of your Instagram profile. This will come in handy if your account ever gets hacked to prove to Instagram that this is your account.
Finally, be patient. It will take some time for Instagram to get your account back. If in the event you can't get your account back, don't sweat. At the time of this post I'm still waiting for my account to be restored.
If it can't, I know with confidence I can build an engaged following very quickly because I've learned the right way to get leads on Instagram. Check out this training by a single mom of 3 who went from broke cocktail waitress to 6 figure earner, enrolling over 700 people into her business part time using Instagram.
